NORWALK, CT.  PD Gallery at Performance Dance is pleased to present a new summer group show, Summer Reflections, by local Connecticut artists. The show will feature art work by Geena Duenges, Jessie Noviik, Kate Pearson and Lauren Volo. Introspection and the artist’s relationship to the world are explored in the show in a variety of mediums ranging from photography, acrylic, oil and large paintings. The show expresses fantastical re-imagining of spaces, haunting views of landscapes and evocative portraits of peoples and places. Summer Reflections will run from July 10^th to August 30^th with an opening reception on Saturday, July 10^th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Performance Dance Gallery at 12 Fitch Street in Norwalk, CT. Gallery hours are by appointment, please call the Gallery Curator at 203.536.4212. Admission is free.

The Artists:

Lauren grew up in Woodbury, Connecticut.  For the last six years, she has been working and living in the East Village of New York mentoring other photographers, and absorbing the industry.  Recently she has been working on independent projects from her travels abroad.

Geena Duengas is a freelance artist born in Fairfield, Connecticut and is currently majoring in illustration at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.  Painting is her passion but she's a jewelry crafter and photographer as well.

Jessie Novik is a fledgling mixed-media artist from Bridgeport, CT.  She graduated from Alfred University's School of Art and Design in May 2009 where she studied painting, glassblowing, ceramics, and video art.

Kate Pearson is an accomplished oil painter and a recent graduate of Salve Regina University with a BA in Studio art and a concentration in painting. She currently works and paints in Newport, RI.
